Africa Data Centres taps Oni-Tel to interconnect data centres in Gauteng

Africa Data Centres announced on Monday it has signed a deal with South African fibre optic cable infrastructure provider Oni-Tel Fibre Networks to strengthen interconnectivity across its facilities in Gauteng province.
Under the agreement, Oni-Tel will deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity to Africa Data Centres’ Midrand and Samrand campuses via its Infinity fibre interconnection platform.
Africa Data Centres said Oni-Tel’s dark fibre infrastructure is purpose-built for data centre interconnectivity on a resilient network, providing direct access to Gauteng’s key data centre hubs.
Africa Data Centres CEO Adil El Youssefi said its collaboration with Oni-Tel will strengthens its service portfolio by enhancing performance and expanding connectivity options within its facilities, giving customers more interconnection choice, high availability, seamless bandwidth and the ability to scale efficiently as their infrastructure requirements grow.

Oni-Tel chief commercial officer Ellisha Gobind said its partnership with Africa Data Centres enables the company to deliver its fibre interconnection solution into some of the most strategically important data centre hubs in Gauteng.
