A leading provider of green power management solutions has opened a subsidiary in India to serve the south Asian market. The Swedish firm Flexenclosure will offer green energy solutions via Flexenclosure India Ltd, allowing mobile operators in south Asia to drastically cut diesel consumption, operating expenses and CO2 emissions.
The new company has already started operations based in Gurgaon near New Delhi under the leadership of Mukesh Singh. Mr. Singh is formerly Head for Corporate and Business development at Nokia Siemens Networks, and has also worked for Ericsson as business manager.
The new company will serve mobile operators in India and the rest of the subcontinent – Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal – with its advanced green power management solutions for off-grid base stations.
The focus of Flexenclosure India will, at least initially, be on the company’s E-site solution, which offers green power management for base station sites. It is mainly powered by renewable energy sources (sun and wind), and can provide a 90 percent reduction in diesel fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and energy operating expenses compared to traditional diesel-based solutions.
“Flexenclosure fully recognizes the importance of the South Asian continent for our products”, said David King, CEO, Flexenclosure. “The launch of Flexenclosure India will bring us closer to our customers and help us to continue to develop the world’s most efficient power management solutions. I have enjoyed working in India with three previous companies and I look forward to visiting such a vibrant economy on a regular basis again.”
