Bolivia reports mobile and internet progress

Bolivia’s Telecommunications and Transport Regulation and Control Authority - ATT - reports that, at the end of 2018, there were 11,445,830 mobile connections in the country. This represents a penetration of just over 100%.

The highest concentration of mobile subscriptions was in the departments of La Paz (29%), Santa Cruz (28%) and Cochabamba (18%).

The ATT also said that the number of the nation’s internet connections had reached 9,907,145 million both fixed and mobile, and that the Bolivian population's access to the Internet was, at 94%, mainly through their mobile phones.
