Telin signs deals with PEACE Cable, GTI, SM+ and TM Forum

Telkom Indonesia’s international arm Telin signed a trio of agreements last week to expand its international connectivity business, along with a fourth agreement to adopt TM Forum’s Open APIs and open digital architecture model.

Telin signed a letter of intent (LOI) with PEACE Cable International Network under which Telin will increase connectivity resources with PEACE to around 1.4 Tbps on a number of strategic routes that connect Asia, Africa, and Europe, including dark spectrum resources that connect Egypt and France, as well as end-to-end capacity with equivalent values that support cross-Egyptian connectivity.

Telin said the deal will strengthen its international connectivity capabilities while providing greater capacity to support business needs and digital services that continue to grow in various markets.

Telin also signed an MoU with Graha Telekomunikasi Indonesia (GTI), part of Remala Group, to develop a collaborative framework for exploring fibre pair capacity and international connectivity opportunities related to Telin’s Batam Singapore Cable System (BSCS).

On the data centre front, Telin signed an MoU with Indonesian data centre operator SM+ (backed by local conglomerate Sinar Mas), under which Telin will support SM+ in expanding its range of data centre colocation solutions and reaching new customers in the international market via Telin's global network and reach.

Telin will also support SM+ and its customers through global connectivity solutions in Telin's international service portfolio, including its global data centre connectivity platform TNeX.

Finally, Telin signed the TM Forum’s Open API & Open Digital Architecture (ODA) Manifesto, under which it commits to adopting ODA and Open APIs as the fundamental elements of its software architecture.

Telin said the move will align its technological capabilities with global industry standards, which will increase interoperability and collaboration in the digital ecosystem, as well as support a more open and agile architecture.

All four agreements were signed during Telin’s Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) 2026 event that ran from August 25-28.
