Under the deal, Nokia will supply the Polish operator with its latest AirScale equipment portfolio including Single RAN, AirScale base stations, and 5G Massive MIMO antennas for indoor and outdoor coverage. As part of its commercial 5G deployment, T-Mobile Polska will use 4G and 5G dynamic spectrum sharing on lower bands and later tap into the 3.5GHz spectrum band to provide 5G to dense urban areas. Nokia said this strategy will provide 5G coverage and capacity while simultaneously maintaining 4G service to meet user capacity requirements. Nokia and T-Mobile Polska have a longstanding relationship with the equipment provider supplying the operator for all radio technology generations. T-Mobile Polska chief technology innovation officer Petri Pehkonen said: “5G supports our strategy of delivering best-in-class services to our customers including businesses. Thanks to this cooperation we will be able to provide the best solutions and products to our customers and business clients. We chose Nokia as our long-term partner to modernise our network infrastructure and introduce new 5G services due to their comprehensive range of solutions and we look forward to working with them moving forward.” Nokia President of mobile networks Tommi Uitto added: “We are delighted to have been selected by T-Mobile to upgrade the operator’s existing network infrastructure across Poland, which will bring best in class 5G experiences to its customers. We’ve worked hand-in-hand with T-Mobile for a long time now and are proud that they trust in our technology leadership and product portfolio. I am glad to see this project taking shape with strong collaboration across our teams.” T-Mobile Polska l[aunched standalone 5G trials in the city of Lodz](https://developingtelecoms.com/telecom-business/operator-news/12319-t-mobile-poland-trials-5g-standalone.html) using 2.6GHz spectrum, as the operator looked to create commercial enterprise solutions from the technology. ## More Articles you may be Interested in... ```json { "@context": "http:\/\/schema.org", "@graph": [ { "@type": "Article", "author": { "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#manny_pham_133554b7e2" }, "dateModified": "2022-03-22T10:26:21Z", "datePublished": "2022-03-22T10:14:59Z", "description": "Nokia has signed a ten-year deal with T-Mobile Polska (T-Mobile Poland) to modernise infrastructure for the operator’s commercial 5G launch, a move that also increases Nokia’s presence in the operator to 50%.", "headline": "T-Mobile Polska taps Nokia for 5G upgrade", "image": [ { "@type": "ImageObject", "url": "https:\/\/developingtelecoms.com\/images\/stories\/Company_Logos\/NOKIA600.png", "caption": "", "description": "T-Mobile Polska taps Nokia for 5G deployment", "width": 600, "height": 450 } ], "inLanguage": "en-GB", "mainEntityOfPage": { "@type": "WebPage", "url": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/telecom-business\/vendor-news\/13186-t-mobile-polska-taps-nokia-for-5g-deployment.html" }, "publisher": { "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#defaultPublisher" }, "url": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/telecom-business\/vendor-news\/13186-t-mobile-polska-taps-nokia-for-5g-deployment.html" }, { "@type": "Person", "name": "Manny Pham", "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#manny_pham_133554b7e2" }, { "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#defaultPublisher", "@type": "Organization", "url": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/", "logo": { "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#defaultLogo" }, "name": "Developing Telecoms" }, { "@id": "https:\/\/www.developingtelecoms.com\/#defaultLogo", "@type": "ImageObject", "url": "https:\/\/developingtelecoms.com\/images\/stories\/highResLogos\/dt-site-logo-440.png", "width": "440", "height": "122" } ] } ```
