Digicel Deploying Squire Technologies Next Gen STP across CALA & Asia

Digicel Deploying Squire Technologies Next Gen STP across Lat Am & Asia

Digicel Group is rolling out Squire Technologies’ SVI_STP (Signal Transfer Point) across multiple sites in their Caribbean, Central American and Asia Pacific networks.

In 2014 Cisco announced an end-of-life on their STP product and so Digicel product management started looking for a fully supported replacement product.

"What impressed us with the Squire Technologies STP product was not only could it replace our existing infrastructure but it will allow us to support Next Generation and 4G / IMS based signalling going forward”, said Prashant Singh, Global Head of Core Services, Digicel Group.

Simon Dinnage, Squire's Business Development Director, said: “As well as our technology we bring our signalling and networking commissioning expertise to bear on any requirements our clients may have. We look forward to working with Digicel to deliver their services today and in tomorrow's fast evolving signalling networks.”

The SVI_STP provides full support for SS7, NGN and IMS / 4G signalling networks. A fully featured product with global deployments it allows service providers to rapidly deploy, rationalise and deliver new services into their network.
