Tecore Networks supplying 4G LTE Core to Blue Arcus in the Marshall Islands

Blue Arcus Technologies has selected Tecore Networks’ Mobility Virtualised Platform (MVP) for deployment in the Marshall Islands.

Tecore’s MVP was selected based on its scalability and capabilities of the LTE Core Network upon the completion of an intensive evaluation. In addition, the platform includes the Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving Gateway (SGW), Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Voice over LTE and Circuit Switched Fallback to the existing GSM network.

The new LTE network will greatly improve telecommunications in a region that has long been underserved due to its remote location in the Pacific.

"The unique environment and remote location are a key factor that had to be considered for this project. Tecore’s knowledge, experience and product scalability will be a vital component of our deployment," said Naren Yanamadala, President and CEO of Blue Arcus Technologies.

“Our continued focus is to advance our products through experience gained in each unique deployment to better service our customers,” said Jay Salkini, Founder and CEO of Tecore Networks.

Tecore’s MVP product delivers scalable solutions to operators, which are cost-effective for deploying, extending and evolving their networks. As the baseline of the expansion efforts, Tecore’s ability to be deployed as a standalone or networked system makes it the solution of choice for islands, rural and remote communities.
