Subex, Siemens help Vietnamese telecoms provider combat fraud

Subex Ltd, which supplies Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS), is working with one of its key partners, Siemens Information Systems Ltd (SISL), to implement its Nikira Fraud Management product at a leading mobile telecommunications service provider in Vietnam.

As part of the deployment, SISL provided professional services, including project management, training and testing, whereas Siemens Ltd Vietnam (SLV) was the end supplier of services to the customer for Subex's Fraud Management system. The joint solution helped the service provider to effectively combat potential fraud across its post-paid, pre-paid, data and roaming services.

On the successful completion of the project, Sanjeev Sinha, Managing Director, Siemens Information Systems Ltd, commented, "We met the service provider's expectation and overcame all challenges in our first system integration project with Subex's Fraud Management solution”.

Nikira helps wireline and wireless telecom operators to detect and investigate both traditional and next-generation frauds in order to prevent revenue leakage. A key component of the Subex suite of revenue maximisation solutions, Nikira uses flexible rules-based alarms and artificial-intelligence driven advanced analytics to identify likely fraudulent behavior, helping operators to detect known fraud types and patterns of unusual behavior in all telecoms environments – wireline, wireless and across all services.

Leading service providers around the world turn to Subex to combat fraud, conduct revenue assurance, correct configuration and interconnect billing errors, and manage third-party relationships to maximise margins and adopt lean operations.
