Karib Cable has now launched its fixed-line service on St Lucia; the service is now available to homes and businesses everywhere on the island.
Little more than eighteen months have passed since Karib Cable’s launch on St Lucia, which ended a century-old monopoly held by Cable & Wireless. Karib Cable is expanding the choice available to St Lucians, promising high-speed broadband Internet, greater choice in cable television, and basic fixed-line telephony.
To be known as KC Fixed Line, the new telephony service offers several calling plans in addition to the expected destinations: KC to KC Local, KC St Lucia to KC St Vincent, World Connect and World Connect Plus, as well as Digi Connect Plans which are bundled minutes to call Digicel mobiles locally and regionally. Plan prices have rates as low as US$0.04 per minute local, US$0.55 per minute to Digicel mobiles and US$0.75 from KC to OECS mobiles. Rates do not change based on calling time or day. KC Triple Play, one monthly bill will cover the KC Fixed Line itself, 80 channels of cable television, and high-speed broadband Internet.
