Ukraine' s latest mobile network operator life:) has launched Mobile Internet access over WAP and Multimedia Messaging Services. Jataayu Software's WAP Gateway and Telenity's Canvas family of IP based products and applications are the power behind this commercial development.

Under the terms of the development Jayaatu's WAP Gateway will provide Mobile Internet access in tandem with Telenity's Canvas multimodal value added services products, including the Canvas Multimedia Messaging Services Centre. The combined solution is claimed to provide life:) with a high performance, reliable system to create a differentiated subscriber experience. life:) is the new GSM service provider owned by Astelit. life:) commenced operations on January 24, 2005, its vision to become the most popular new generation and operator in the Ukrainian mobile communication market.

Astelit is a Moscow based service provider offering international, long-distance and local voice services, internet access, and ISDN for video telephony and other Value Added Services in Russia and the CIS. In addition the company operates private networks in St Petersburg and Nizniy Novgorod. Astelit is part owned by Telecom Italia.
