Huawei Technologies' global contract sales for 2005 reached US$8.2 billion, a year-on-year growth rate of 40%. The increase is a result of continued market growth in the product areas of wireless mobile network, next generation network, optical networks, data communications, application and software and terminals.
Huawei also achieved substantial break through in 2005. To date, Huawei has served 28 of the top 50 global carriers, including British Telecom, Vodafone, Telefonica, KPN, SingTel, AIS, MTN, Telemar and other renowned carriers, in addition to Chinese carriers.
Huawei's international strategies were further consolidated last year, as the company began to establish an international image in the global telecom industry, gaining more and more international carriers' recognition.
