Contracts, Mobile, Email, Egypt, Africa: One of Egypt’s mobile service providers is bringing mobile email to a broader market. Vodafone Egypt has selected Visto Corporation, which provides secure mobile email to power its Vodafone Business Email offering...

The new platform is designed to bring mobile email, calendar, contacts, tasks and other services to consumers, small, medium businesses and busy professionals throughout Egypt. Since entering the Egyptian market in 1998, Vodafone has concentrated on innovation in mobile services. Vodafone Egypt will now be able to deliver a service that takes ease of use to another level – simplifying the mobile email experience for all customers, regardless of the size of their business or type of email account.

“…We are able to address the connectivity needs of the broader market by offering a service that is both easy to use and widely available - key factors in the mass adoption of mobile email”, said Khaled ElKhouly, Enterprise Director of Vodafone Egypt. “The Visto Mobile Platform enables us to expand our mobile services portfolio with new services that streamline productivity, improve communications and, because users can access both corporate and personal email, strike that important balance between work and home.”

Vodafone Egypt customers can tailor their own mobile email service depending on their individual requirements, organisation size and their specific email accounts. Vodafone Business Email is available for both corporate and personal email accounts based on Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and leading Internet-based email offerings.

Vodafone Egypt currently provides a wide range of communication services, including voice and data, across Egypt. In May 2007 the company launched its 3G broadband state-of-the-art technology and products with a range of services, including: video calling, mobile TV, Full Track Music Downloads for the consumer sector, the Vodafone Mobile Connect (VMC) Card, USB modem and Little Box (for the enterprise sector) as well as high speed Internet browsing and downloads for all users.

* Vodafone Egypt now boasts over 3,000 employees serving more than 9.4 million customers nationwide. The company offers roaming services through agreements with more than 385 partners from more than 138 countries.
