People, Customer Management, China: 3G is set for roll-out in China, 4G
is undergoing testing. Actix Systems has named Ma Ming as its new country head
to oversee its operations at a crucial time in Chinese telecoms development...
At a time when 3G is set for roll-out in China and
that same country is testing 4G, a company that develops systems to improve the
mobile network customer experience has installed a new chief to oversee its
Chinese operations.
Ma Ming, previous head of Ericsson’s TEMS product line in China,
has been chosen by Actix to look after a highly exciting and challenging
market. Ma Ming will focus on helping Chinese operators overcome the challenges
presented by the forthcoming 3G deployments and 4G trials. He will be backed up
by the track record of Actix which has worked with 90% of all 3G operators
worldwide. Actix solutions are employed in troubleshooting, rolling out and
accelerating new service revenues.
In Ma Ming’s opinion: “The Chinese market is a dynamic,
rapidly growing environment, has the largest number of subscribers worldwide
and is undergoing radical changes with the imminent sale of 3G licences and the
4G trials already in progress. This evolution from a radio network built for
simple voice to one for mobile broadband represents a huge challenge for the
industry.”
Ma Ming’s previous experience takes in Sweden, New Zealand, Malaysia and China in a variety of positions from product development and product
marketing to sales and management. He was also China Country Manager for NEMO
Technologies, and introduced autonomous drive test systems into China.
* With new networks
such as HSPA launching and operators trying to extract every last bit of value
out of their existing networks, optimising RF assets is a central priority for operators.
It is the boast of UK-based Actix that is can help wireless carriers enhance
revenue growth and improve operating margins. Actix solutions are used by 5,000
engineers from more than 200 operators globally.
