Contracts, Customer Services, Billing, Antigua, CLA: Converged billing is expected to become greatly simplified for the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA CPS) now that Redknee has been brought in to streamline APUA’s billing system. Based on a turnkey contract APUA can now look forward to offering innovative rates and incentives.

Converged billing solutions are set to streamline the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA PCS) billing system. Redknee, a Canadian-based enterprise that provides infrastructure software to monetise and personalise services and content for mobile users, has announced that APUA PCS has selected its turnkey solution, both to strengthen and to build on existing operations.

APUA PCS has a strong commitment to provide its subscribers with robust and flexible services. Allan Williams, General Manager of APUA PCS: “We are determined and committed to providing Antigua and Barbuda with the best in class service and flexible rate plans.” Its strategy will be to exploit Redknee’s real-time rating engine to offer innovative rate plans and usage incentives.

The contract is the first phase in the APUA PCS plan to bring next generation mobile services and applications to its loyal subscribers. The Redknee billing suite provides the solutions that work towards a unified mechanism of customer lifecycle management coupled with value enhancement at each step while reducing operative costs. It is hoped that operators will be able to support new revenue opportunities; resulting in improved operational efficiencies, increased customer satisfaction, and rapid new product and service rollouts.

* APUA PCS was one of the first in the English-speaking Caribbean to

introduce GSM technology. It recently surprised the local regional mobile industry when it introduced Calling Party Pays as its basic standard, resulting in an immeasurable improvement in local productivity not to mention social convenience.

** Since inception in 1999, the Redknee customer base has grown to 30 mobile communications service providers, which provide services to over 275 million wireless subscribers in over 20 countries. Redknee’s customer base includes four of the ten largest mobile communications service providers or groups worldwide as determined by subscriber count.
