Broadband Networks, Global:  Achievements by the world’s top networking and telecoms vendors are recognised annually by the International Engineering Consortium. This year the IEC’s InfoVision Award was presented at the Broadband World Forum in Madrid to Huawei.

Recognising a creative contribution to progress in the information industry, the IEC singled out Huawei’s MSAN Honet UA5000 as being leading and innovative in the field of broadband appliances, devices and home networking. It provides full-service access to NGN, IP, VPN, ATM and PSTN networks. Honet also integrates IP/ATM/TDM technologies and allows carriers to continue providing not only legacy services such as voice, leased line and more, but also advanced broadband services of xDSL and Ethernet.

The Honet UA5000 Universal Access Unit helps carriers migrate to NGN-oriented access network seamlessly and provide full services including narrowband, broadband and IPTV. Currently, Huawei has deployed more than 55 million ports of Honet in more than 35 countries. In April 2005, British Telecom selected Huawei as a preferred supplier to manufacture, supply and install MSAN products for its 21CN network.
