Continuous Computing to spend US$10M in Bangalore by 2009 PDF Print E-mail

News, Corporate, R&D, India, Asia: Continuous Computing Corporation (www.ccpu.com), which provides Network Service-Ready Platforms in tended to help telecom equipment manufacturers deploy converged communications quickly has now opened a new R&D facility in Bangalore. The new facility enhances the company's presence in India and provides space for customer meetings, corporate events and future growth.

The company originally opened an India office in July 2004 with just ten employees but now employs over 80 software and hardware developers.

Continuous Computing's new high-tech India facility is expected to help attract top engineering and sales talent. The 23,000 ft2 office is strategically located in the 55-acre Embassy Golf Links Business Park in Bangalore, where companies such as IBM, Microsoft, ANZ IT, The Carlyle Group, Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments also have offices.

"Today's office inauguration illustrates our recent growth and sets the stage for our future success," said Pradeep Malhotra, Vice President & Managing Director, Continuous Computing India Pvt. Ltd. "We are committed to our operations in India, and we expect to spend approximately US$10 million over the next three years. This new Bangalore facility serves as Continuous Computing's flagship India location for Trillium protocol software development and is also our base for pre- and post-sales support for key India and Asia-based telecom equipment manufacturer customers."

* Continuous Computing has five other key strategic office locations in Asia. The company first began its Asia-Pacific presence in Seoul in 2003, and then made further investments in Tokyo, later in 2003. In mid-2004 the company opened its first People's Republic of China office in Shanghai and expanded into Beijing and Shenzhen in July 2005 through the acquisition of UP Technologies (China). These six Asia office locations now employ over 200 employees.
