We started DevelopingTelecoms.com back in 2005 because we believe passionately that improved access to communications is the most effective way to improve living standards in developing markets.
We also observe that the greatest and most sustainable advances in this field have been made not by government intervention but through private enterprise.
The areas we cover
Africa, Asia (excluding Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Singapore), the Carribean, Central & Eastern Europe, Central & Latin America and the Middle East.
Over 95% of new network connections are in these places. By 2015 over 5 billion people will be connected to voice or internet services - two and half times more than in 2008. The vast majority of these new connections will be wireless.
